AICON

AICON is our job briefing platform for utility crews. The crew leader runs the pre-job briefing as a conversation on a phone or tablet. AICON prompts the crew about the hazards and controls that apply to that job, then produces the completed JSA from what was said.

How a briefing works

  1. Job setup

The briefing starts from the job details, including the work type, hazards, PPE and human performance tools.

  2. Conversation

AICON shows the topics on screen, and the crew talks through them in their own words.

  3. Prompts

When the crew mentions something that needs more discussion, AICON brings it up. Mentioning excavation, for example, brings up a check on underground locates.

  4. Completed JSA

When the briefing ends, AICON writes the JSA and a summary, and leaders can review it right away. AICON works without a signal.

Set up for each company

We load each company's safety manuals, client requirements and procedures before its crews start, so briefings follow its own standards. Rollout starts with a smaller group of crews for about 8 to 9 weeks, then extends to every crew and work type.
